Q: I have been on PRiME Plus for a week and haven't lost any weight and haven't really noticed any changes in my hunger. Is it not working for me?
A: All of the studies that have been done on Hoodia gordonii - the principal ingredient in PRiME - have shown that it typically takes 6 weeks for the cumulative effects of this herb to take place to such a degree that the participants reduced their food intake by 1000 calories per day. This reduction was accomplished without their conscious effort! At this level of calorie reduction, we can expect that from that point on they will lose 1 pound every three and one-half days. What needs to be kept in mind, however, is that it can take 6 weeks or so before weight loss begins.

Q: What does it mean to "plateau" in weight loss?
A: Plateaus can be one of the true frustrations in a weight loss program. To plateau in weight loss terms means you reach a temporary place where weight loss slows or stops. This can be caused by a number of things including stress levels, hormone fluctuations, water balance, and even the kind of food you have eaten.
Q: I've been experiencing plateaus in my weight loss—even with PRiME. Is there something I can do?
A: It is recommended that nothing be done within the first week. But if you remain on the "plateau" for more than a week, bumping the dose up one capsule to break the cycle is a good plan and also moving the dose closer to your problem meal. Once weight loss starts again, reduce the dose back to the original.

Q: I've noticed that on the last five to ten pounds I loose weight slower and feel more hunger. Why is that?
A: The last few pounds are always the most difficult. We regulate our weight by a very complex interplay of feed-back communication from multiple regulating systems in our body—the most important of these are controlled by PRiME ... the stomach, liver, and brain. Whatever weight we have become, our body considers "normal" and up-adjusts our "set-point" to maintain that weight. As we lose more weight, the regulating systems send out constant signals that something is not "normal". PRiME works by mimicking the appetite-regulating chemistries...but even so, the more weight that we lose and the further we get away from that set-point, the "louder" our other systems not controlled by PRiME clamor for a return to our original weight. Fortunately, these other systems cannot overpower the ones controlled by PRiME and we will continue to lose weight, but they can cause a slowing of weight loss and a slight increase in appetite. Time eventually allows for the set-point to readjust to its new current level. How long that takes is variable from individual to individual and may be from as short as a few weeks to several months.

Q: Can PRiME affect my sleep?
A: Sleeping through the night should not be a problem for people starting on PRiME.
Q: Can PRiME adversely affect my health?
A: There is nothing in PRiME that would cause adverse health affects. But it is important to remember that when on PRiME your intake of nutrients through food is going to be significantly lower than your needs because of the increase in your metabolism and the decrease in your food consumption. When on PRiME, make sure to take a daily protein supplement, and a good quality vitamin, mineral, and trace mineral supplement. Nouvelle's Max Pack is the best of the best, containing every vitamin, mineral, trace mineral, enzyme, and phytonutrient that a person needs to maintain good health.

Q: Will PRiME make me feel different?
A: PRiME will certainly make you feel different! But it will not make you jittery or hyper. Your appetite will be decreased, you will no longer obsess about food, and most of your food cravings will be gone. In addition most people report that they have better energy levels and "just plain feel good" when taking PRiME.
Q: Can PRiME affect my regularity?
A: PRiME does not typically affect regularity.
Q: How much water should I drink with PRiME?
A: You should drink 10 to 12 large (10 ounce) glasses of water per day
Q: Does PRiME cause dry-mouth?
A: PRiME does not cause dry mouth.
Q: Should I be on a certain type of diet while on PRiME?
A: While on PRiME, you don't need to be on a special diet to lose weight. However, because starch and sugar can overwhelm your appetite controlling mechanism, you should make sure that your protein intake is good and that you stay away from as much as possible potatoes, rice, and bread. You should eat a wide range of non-starchy fruits and vegetables and take a good quality multivitamin, mineral, and trace mineral supplement.
Q: Is it safe to take PRiME if I am taking other medications?
A: PRiME does not interfere with most medications, but check with your Doctor or Pharmacist if you have any concerns.
Q: I've tried other Hoodia products and they don't work for me – why is PRiME different?
A: PRiME is different from a lot of other Hoodia products because it contains real South African Hoodia, actually has the amounts in it that are listed on the label, and its active ingredient (P57) is standardized. In addition, PRiME is a unique combination of Hoodia—which regulates appetite and eating behavior—and a time proven Chinese Herbal weight loss formula, which helps balance the other weight management chemistries like insulin sensitivity, metabolic function, and energy production.
Q: What is the scientific name of the active ingredient in HOODIA and how does it work?
A: The active ingredient in Hoodia is P-57AS3 (P57) which was discovered by Pfizer Pharmaceuticals. It works by making the brain believe that it is full by magnifying its natural "fullness" chemistries.
Q: Does it matter when you take the PRiME?
A: PRiME can be taken when most needed, usually 1 hour or so before your most "challenging" meal.
Q: Do you need to take PRiME with food?
A: You do not need to take PRiME with food.
Q: I have swelling in ankles – is there a diaretic in PRiME?
A: There are herbs in PRiME that help the body regulate its cellular water balance and improve kidney function, but PRiME is designed for weight loss and is not a treatment for swelling of ankles.

Q: Does it take longer to lose weight for people with only 10 pounds to lose than those that have more to lose?
A: Losing "only" 10 pounds is a little more difficult than losing the "first" 10 pounds. PRiME works by mimicking the appetite-regulating chemistries...but even so, the more weight that we lose and the further we get away from that set-point, the "louder" our other systems not controlled by PRiME clamor for a return to our original weight.Fortunately, these other systems cannot overpower the ones controlled by PRiME and we will continue to lose weight, but they can cause a slowing of weight loss and a slight increase in appetite. Time eventually allows for the set-point to readjust to its new current level. How long that takes is variable from individual to individual and may be from as short as a few weeks to several months.
